Welcome to Baze University Library, the repository of human knowledge, where you can conductively learn to live. Baze University Library collection is designed to support your study, learning, research, and leisure. It is well stocked and well-equipped with current books and journals that have given the University a competitive edge among equals. It is the responsibility of the University Library to select, acquire, process, organize, disseminate, and preserve relevant materials to support the Curricula, and the programs accredited by the National Universities’ Commission. Similarly, the Library ensures it creates a favorable environment conducive for learning, teaching, research, and leisure. In order to succeed in a standard-quality setting like Baze University, you must determine to apply yourself seriously to your studies and use wisely, the enormous Library resources assembled to facilitate your education here at Baze University. James O. Daniel, FNLA, Ph.D. (BAZE UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN)

Dr. James O. Daniel is the first substantive University Librarian of the University. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in the USA, where he obtained his Masters and Doctoral degrees, having completed a BLS degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. A Fellow of the Nigerian Libraries, current President of West African Library Association, former Secretary-General of International Federation of Library Associations, and Institutions (IFLA) Africa Section. Dr. Daniel was also, the President of the Nigerian Library Association for five years, as well as, the pioneer Board Chairman that inaugurated the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). He specializes in ICT and Library automation. A respected Librarian and Information Scientist with a vast wealth of experience in academic librarianship. He has pioneered many tertiary institution Libraries and grew them to maturity and fame. He is an astute scholar with several articles contributed to peer-reviewed learned journals and numerous seminar papers presented at national and international conferences and workshops. He is well known for his doggedness for success.

Dr. Daniel is a go-getter and a workaholic with an eagle-eye for perfection. He has taught, mentored, and impacted so many successful professionals and colleagues, which has earned him respect and honor among his peers in his chosen profession across the globe. Dr. Daniel is well-traveled, having physically visited five out of the seven continents of the world
